Andrew's Transition Story

Andrew spent six years in the Navy working in IT. He got out in 2021 and took two civilian sales jobs that had nothing to do with what he had done in uniform.

He wanted federal service instead. So he started building federal resumes on Best Military Resume, and he did not stop. Fifteen of them over about sixteen months, aimed at logistics, supply, program analysis, contracting, and a few federal law enforcement longshots.

By early 2025 he had worked his way in as a GS-7.

Most people treat getting inside as the finish line. Andrew kept going, and this month he moved into a federal logistics management role.

What he wanted other veterans to know was not about the offer itself. It was about what the resume had to survive first. In his words, it broke through the federal screening and got into the hiring manager's hands.

That is the part most applicants never see. A federal resume usually has to clear an automated review before a person ever reads it, and plenty of qualified candidates never make it past that step.

Fifteen resumes in, Andrew's did.
