Benjamin’s transition

Benjamin gave the Navy 20 years. Most of it running administrative and human resources operations, the kind of work that keeps a command moving but rarely gets translated cleanly onto a civilian resume.

When he started his transition, he knew where he wanted to land. Civilian HR. Employee relations, business partnering, the same work he had already been doing in uniform for two decades. The problem was the gap. A hiring manager reads "Navy" and does not always see "seasoned HR leader."
