Brandon’s transition

Brandon retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant (E-8). He served two stretches, a short one in the late 90s and a longer one that ended in 2024, with a civilian logistics job in between. For most of that second run his job was career counseling and retention. He helped soldiers plan their next move, whether that meant staying in or getting out the right way. His own resume says he guided more than 10,000 of them.

Then it was his turn, and he was job hunting from the other side of the world. He signed up for Best Military Resume on July 31, 2026, from overseas, and built his resume on the free plan. It leaned on the work he already knew: program management, workforce development and career counseling.

About a month later he wrote in. He had a job offer, he was back in the US, and the role was helping transitioning service members find their next job. The same work he did in uniform, now on the civilian side, for the people coming out behind him.
