Two interviews and job offer of 140K later! Thank you for the help guidance and building BMR!!!
Clifton’s transition
Clifton spent 20 years in the Air Force. He started on the medical side and finished as a recruiter, retiring as a Technical Sergeant (E-6) in 2016.
Getting out did not drop him into one clean lane. He ran simulators, supervised a production floor, and worked as a background investigator before he found his footing in HR systems in 2020. By 2023 he was leading an HR systems team on the federal civilian side.
So this was not a first-job-after-the-military story. He already had a career. He wanted the next level of it, and he wanted it in the private sector.
He signed up for Best Military Resume on September 16, built his base resume, tailored it to a people operations leadership role, wrote the cover letter, and downloaded both the same day. He marked the job applied the next day.
Three weeks later he messaged Brad: "Two interviews and job offer of 140K later!"
Ten years out of uniform, with a career already built, the resume was the only thing between him and the next level. One tailored version put 20 years of Air Force leadership and his HR systems work in the language a private-sector hiring team reads. The offer came back at $140K.
Clifton built a resume that got results. Same tools. Free to start. About 15 minutes.
