I was referred as qualified for several federal positions, began getting through to interviews, and ultimately received an offer for a GS-12 position.
Daniel’s transition
Daniel gave the Army more than 20 years. Most of that time he worked in security and personnel operations. He ran readiness, training and the daily admin that keeps a unit moving. By mid 2025 he had a security job with a state government. It paid the bills while he chased the job he really wanted, a federal role in human resources.
That's where he hit the wall. He applied on USAJOBS and kept stalling at the first screen. No referrals, so no interviews. Twenty years of experience, and the system could not see it.
