Eric’s transition

Twenty years in Air Force security forces. Eric started as a security response team member and finished as the senior noncommissioned officer running the programs: tactical response team leader, flight sergeant, antiterrorism officer, flight chief, then senior program manager owning standardization, evaluation, readiness, logistics, and training. The career behind that resume is not thin. It is twenty years deep.

The problem senior NCOs hit is that none of it reads civilian on its own. So Eric went at the job hunt the same way he ran his programs. He built roughly sixty tailored resumes on Best Military Resume. Not one master document sprayed everywhere. Sixty separate resumes, each rebuilt for a specific opening: project management roles, program management roles, security and compliance roles, training and development roles, federal announcements and private sector jobs both.

The work kept paying off. While transitioning he locked in a competitive SkillBridge internship in project management. After separating he landed a civilian management role. And the offers kept coming until one was worth keeping. In his own words: "I was hired 3 different times, but now I landed a GS11 job and this is where I'll stay."

Getting hired three times is not luck three times. It is a system. Real experience, translated right, tailored to every door. Eric ran the system until it produced the exact seat he wanted.
