Fred’s story

Fred’s transition

Fred spent two decades in the Air Force keeping aircraft mission-ready. He came up through aircraft maintenance and propulsion, ran quality assurance and production, and finished as a Senior Master Sergeant leading the people who keep jets in the air.

That kind of career is enormous. It is also hard to hand to a civilian employer. Twenty years of running maintenance operations does not automatically read as operations manager or program manager on a resume.

So Fred put in the work. He used Best Military Resume and tailored dozens of resumes over six months, one for every role he chased, across aviation operations and defense. Airline operations. Program management. Logistics.

He kept going until it landed. Then the email came. He got hired.

That is dozens of tailored resumes over six months. Nobody handed it to him. He out-worked the pile.
