Jennifer’s transition

Jennifer gave the Navy twenty years as a hospital corpsman. The back half of it was management. Four years running training, then six running healthcare operations.

She built her base resume on BMR in March and tailored one the same day for a training and development role. Then a phlebotomy job a couple of weeks later. Then she went quiet for a few months.

In late July she picked it back up and did not stop. Six more resumes in seventeen days. A federal medical support role. Two different patient care technician jobs. A lab technician position. A unit clerk job. A scheduling role.

Eight tailored resumes. Eight different doors, across both federal and private healthcare.

She was not holding out for one perfect posting. She built a specific resume for every real opening she found.

On August 13 she canceled her subscription. Eighteen minutes later she confirmed she had been hired.

She never said which one it was. Eight swings from a corpsman who spent twenty years taking care of people and the systems around them. One of them landed.
