I have landed a position as a sub-contractor with a 12/1 start. I'd been on the trail since April. I just wanted to say thank you for all the support on the journey.
Joseph’s transition
Joseph came up in Army infantry as an 11C, then built a federal career that took him all the way to GS-15.
In July, he left it.
Then came seven months on the trail. April to late November, application after application, at a level where the openings are few and the process is slow.
The offer finally came from a consulting firm, a subcontractor role starting December 1st.
Joseph had other tools available to him at the time. He was enrolled in a well-known transition program and had tried other resume software. He told us BMR was the one that worked.
His note when he landed it was mostly thank you. Not for the software. For the posts, and the steady reminder that the search ends eventually.
Seven months is a long time to keep going when nothing is landing. He kept going, and it ended the way he wanted it to.
Joseph built a resume that got results. Same tools. Free to start. About 15 minutes.
