Juan's Transition Story

Juan gave the Air Force more than twenty years, working aircraft weapons systems and finishing as a Technical Sergeant.

When he got out, he did not sit still. He took a security project management job with a city utility, then moved into IT work in local government. Real jobs, real progress. But he kept building toward the field he actually wanted: the defense industry.

He started on Best Military Resume in late 2024, sharpening his LinkedIn profile and building resumes in every direction his experience could go. IT project management, security management, production leadership. Nineteen resumes over ten months of searching.

Then in the spring of 2026, he focused. Quality and manufacturing engineering roles, all at a single defense contractor. Ten tailored resumes in two weeks, each one rebuilt to match a specific posting.

In August 2026, he wrote in: he had secured a job.

Almost two years of building. Twenty-nine resumes. One yes. The wide net showed him where he fit. The focused push is what he finished on.

Juan built a resume that got results.
