Miguelangel’s transition
Miguelangel joined BMR in May 2026 while still serving, looking for the same thing a lot of soldiers look for near the end of a contract: a SkillBridge opportunity. An internship with a civilian employer, a few months to prove the skills translate, and a shot at a job on the other side.
Over about two and a half months, 12 resumes went out tailored to specific openings, with cover letters for half of them, and 56 downloads as versions got refined.
The SkillBridge search turned into something better. Instead of an internship, it ended in a direct hire into a full-time role. No trial period, no proving ground. The employer read the experience and made an offer.
In Miguelangel's own words, BMR "gave me a strong foundation to fine-tune my resume further" and "played an important part in helping me present my military and civilian experience effectively."
That is the whole job of a resume. The skills were already real, military and civilian both. They just had to read that way to someone outside the Army.
Miguelangel built a resume that got results. Same tools. Free to start. About 15 minutes.
