Mike's Story

Mike spent 20 years in the Navy and retired as a Chief. In all that time he had never been to a job interview. Not one.

That is the part people miss about a 20 year career. You do not job hunt. You get orders. Then the career ends and you are expected to know how to sell yourself to a stranger who has never worn a uniform.

He built his base resume the day he opened his account in June, then went to work. Twenty one tailored resumes over about ten weeks, each one aimed at a specific posting rather than sent out blind.

Then came the call for the first interview of his life. He made it through both rounds, and the offer letter followed.

"BMR landed me my first ever interview in my life."

He is negotiating the final number before he signs, and he already knows the low end of it clears what he earned as a Chief at 20 years.

In his own words, the tool made it easy to draft and tailor and saved him a lot of time. For someone who had never done any of this before, that was the whole difference.
