T’s transition

T spent nearly 24 years as a Navy officer. He transitioned out as a Commander in 2025, after a career spent planning and leading international defense operations around the world. By the time he left, he carried a TS/SCI clearance and two decades of senior-level experience. What he did not have was a federal resume that could carry all of that onto a government application in the format federal hiring managers expect.

The job he wanted was a direct hire at the GS-14 level. Direct hire moves fast. He had to submit a complete federal resume on a short clock.
