Rob's Story

Rob spent his Navy career going from an administrative clerk on a ship to running training. He became a lead instructor at boot camp, then moved up to running the course that trains the instructors themselves. He was teaching the teachers.

So corporate trainer was not a stretch. It is the same job with different students.

Here is the unusual part. The company that hired him never asked for his resume. The opportunity came up in a way that skipped it entirely. They only requested a copy afterward, for their records.

Most people would leave it there. Rob asked them for feedback on it anyway.

They told him it had everything laid out amazingly, that it looked professional, and that it translated his experience well.

That is a rare thing to get. Almost nobody finds out what the people on the other side of the desk actually thought of their resume. Rob asked, and the answer came back from someone who had no reason to be polite about it.

He now recommends BMR to every friend of his who is getting out, or even starting to think about it.
