Robert’s story

Robert’s transition

Robert gave the Army twenty years, from 2005 to 2025. He came up in armor, wrote doctrine, trained the trainers, and ran operations at the highest enlisted levels.

Then he got out, and like a lot of career soldiers, the first stop was not the dream. He ran heavy equipment. He drove trucks. Honest work that paid the bills while he figured out what he actually wanted next.

After months of applying to positions on his own, he decided to try Best Military Resume in March. He did not send one resume everywhere. He tailored 58 of them, one for every role worth chasing.

The interviews came. Then multiple offers. And Robert got to pick: a Senior Specialist role in logistics administration at $87,000, with a defense and government-services contractor he had always seen as a beacon during his service. His next mission is giving back to the military community from the civilian side.

In his words: "I couldn't be happier with the outcome."

Twenty years in uniform. A year of honest work and searching. Fifty-eight tailored resumes. One career he actually wanted.
