Ryan’s transition

Ryan did one contract in the Air Force, plus a small extension. While he was in, he put his time into education, and he heard about it from every direction. He was crazy for prioritizing school. He should stay in, it was safe. He would be lucky to break $90K once he got out.

He joined BMR in January 2026 and kept at it for about seven months, tailoring 56 resumes to specific roles and pulling down 71 versions along the way. The experience and the credentials were already his. What he needed was a way to put them in front of an employer in language that landed.

It landed. A hiring manager pulled his resume himself and told the recruiter, "We have to interview this guy now."

Ryan accepted an offer for $140,000, in a field different from the one he served in. By his own account it nearly doubles his pay and puts him on a completely different career path.

The $90K figure was never a measure of what he was worth. It was a guess from people who could not see what he had built. The work was already there. It just had to be readable.
