Tim’s transition

Tim spent 21 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Petty Officer First Class (E-6). His service spanned construction and infrastructure leadership across multiple continents, managing large-scale projects, mentoring teams, and running quality assurance and safety programs in some of the toughest environments the military operates in.

When he transitioned out, the next chapter did not happen overnight. Tim took advantage of a free two-week trial of the BMR platform and used the LinkedIn optimization side of the toolkit to position himself for the right opportunity. He kept at it. The job hunt took longer than he expected, but he stayed in the game.

A few weeks after putting his BMR resume and optimized LinkedIn profile to work, Tim landed a new role as a Project Manager testing and commissioning data centers. The pay bump came in at approximately $28,000 more per year than what he was making before.

Tim said it best. The transition is rarely a straight line, but the right tools and the right positioning will eventually move the needle. He is now using his Navy leadership and project management experience in one of the fastest-growing infrastructure spaces in the country, and he is recommending BMR to every transitioning service member he talks to.
