Zack's Story

Zack spent nine years in the Army, most of it in logistics. He came up through a string of NCO duty positions and made Staff Sergeant before transitioning out in 2024.

He did not struggle to land civilian work. He went straight into a project manager role at a defense contractor right after his transition. A good job by any measure. But it was not the one he really wanted.

The role he had his eye on was a Principal Information Systems Project Manager seat. Hybrid schedule. Twenty minutes from his front door. The job on his own terms.

So about eighteen months into his civilian career, Zack came to BMR. Over three months he built five resumes, a base version first and then tailored ones aimed at the specific roles he was chasing, including his target job in April.

A few weeks later, he got it. In his words, it is actually his dream job. He starts in June.

This is the part most veterans do not hear enough. BMR is not only for the transition out of uniform. It is for every move after it. Zack already had a defense-industry job when he came to us. He wanted a better one. The resume he built here is what got him in the room.
