About the Role
- Support welding, machining, and assembly operations
- Set up large workpieces using overhead cranes, fixtures, and rigging in accordance with safety standards
- Load, verify, and finish process parts
- Operate large grit blasting machines
- Use spray paint guns to prime and finish coat machine components
- Deburr machined parts both mechanically and manually
- Clean parts for final shipment and assembly
- Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all company safety policies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency
Qualifications
- Ability to drill, tap, and perform machining operations
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. daily
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in a heavy industrial environment for extended periods
- Ability to safely work around large machinery and overhead cranes
Nice to Have
- 3-5 years of industrial shop experience on large or heavy equipment
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, routings, and GD&T
