Anonymous's Story

Twenty years in the Marine Corps, most of it in aviation maintenance and operations. When he got out he was not struggling. He already had a good job in the defense industry.

He still built thirteen resumes on BMR. Twelve of them tailored, all inside about a month, every one aimed at senior operations and general management roles.

The one that landed came from an old friend whose team was hiring. He pulled the job listing, built a resume against it on BMR, and sent it over.

Then he did the work. Recruiter screens. A flight out for a full day of interviews. An offer a few days later.

He took a role that was, in his words, a little lower than where he had been. He did it because he believed in the company and the mission, and because the title did not matter much to him.

He still came in a little over the top of the pay band. A hundred and seventy thousand base, twenty thousand in relocation, and four hundred thousand in stock.
