Sandis's Story

Sandis is an Army Major who spent his career in supply chain and procurement. Moving things, sourcing things, and making sure the right materiel showed up where it was supposed to be.

He built nine resumes on BMR while he worked out where that translated to on the outside.

The answer turned out to be timber.

He landed an export site manager role in the lumber industry, running product out to market. Different cargo, same problem. Get the volume out the door, on schedule, at the right cost.

It is a useful reminder that military logistics does not only translate to defense contracting. Supply chain is supply chain, and the industries that need it most are often the ones nobody thinks to apply to.

Sandis did not send a long story. He sent a one line answer confirming he got hired, and then the title. Sometimes that is the whole update, and it still counts.
