Ty's Story

Ty gave the Marine Corps about fifteen years. Most of that ran through logistics and maintenance operations. The last stretch ran through investigations and oversight, where the job was to look hard at how things actually worked and write down what he found.

He built his base resume on BMR in February. Then he sat on it.

In July he came back and went to work. Four days, two completely different lanes. One resume built for a federal program specialist role. Another built for a private sector security job. Sixteen downloads across those four days as he kept tightening the language.

Then he sent out ten applications.

Two of them came back as offers. He went with the assistant director of safety and security position.

That is the part worth sitting with. Ty did not take the one job that said yes. He had two on the table and got to choose which one he wanted.
